KPT Pen Lab Basic is installed.

Quit and reopen PowerPoint - the Pen Lab Basic tab loads when PowerPoint starts.

The first time you draw, macOS asks whether KPT Pen Lab Basic may control PowerPoint: click OK. Then allow it in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility (if KPT Pen Lab Basic is listed already, switch it off and on) - the drawing layer then follows PowerPoint's zoom and scrolling. This is a separate permission from the one you gave KPT Pen Lab ADVANCED, because it is a separate app.

KPT Pen Lab Basic sends nothing anywhere and nothing appears until you press a button.
